Realtime GenUI

A command bar that turns a sentence into the interface you need, while you type.

Jev · Design & engineering · Working prototype

“Top airlines” becomes a ranked list with sorting, filters and actions. Recorded in the working prototype with sample data.

The next action, in context

This prototype is a sales CRM for aviation services. Jev powers a natural-language command bar available throughout the app, including over an open account.

“Top airlines” produces a list. “Remind me to call Lufthansa on Wednesday” produces a reminder form. The interface exposes the information and controls needed to finish the task, with a chance to review the details before saving.

Fast enough to follow a thought

The three recorded requests took 231, 250 and 284 ms to interpret, measured on the server from candidate selection through the Jev request and result assembly.

Jev selects the intent and relevant entities from candidates supplied by the application. Code handles dates, calculations, form fields and saved records. The result uses the product’s components and interaction rules.

A partial sentence can change meaning as someone types. The prototype stabilizes those interpretations, offers a choice when the intent is ambiguous, and ignores late answers to earlier input. Values a person edits in the form take precedence over later interpretations.

A working product around the interaction

The prototype includes a pipeline, account records, reminders and a dashboard, built in Phoenix LiveView. Opening an account gives the command bar context, so a follow-up can refer to that record without naming it again.

If the model is unavailable, the bar falls back to ordinary search. The core product remains usable.
